McDonald’s celebrates grandmothers with a brand-new item

McDonald’s is celebrating summer with a new cold treat, while also honoring grandmas everywhere.

The Grandma McFlurry features a smooth syrup and crunchy candy pieces just like the treats grandmas hide in their purses.

Our Quad Cities spoke to Dorothy Taeger, she’s 89 years young and a very well-known hostess at the McDonald’s in Burlington. She’s also a soon to be Great-Great Grandmother. Dorothy has 18 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way.
