It’s a 2020 miracle! McDonald’s just announced that the McRib sandwich is coming back, which is a big deal since the last time it graced our presence across the country was in 2012. You won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on it, because the limited-edition McRib will be available beginning on Dec. 2.

Whether you’ve been keeping your fingers crossed that the McRib would be making a comeback or this will be your first experience, we can all agree that it looks freaking delicious. The sandwich is made up of seasoned boneless pork that’s slathered in smoky, tangy barbecue sauce, and topped with slivered onions and tart pickles. No wonder it’s been so dearly missed!

“The McRib has been a beloved menu item at McDonald’s since its inception nearly 40 years ago,” Linda VanGosen, vice president of menu innovation, said in a press release. “There’s nothing quite like the taste of the McRib. To our customers, it’s become more than a delicious, saucy moment … it’s a season, and it’s taking the internet by storm.”

What makes this news extra special is that the McRib will be coming back to menus nationwide, so everyone across the country can enjoy the boneless pork goodness. So while it will be around for a limited time, at least we all can enjoy it. But that won’t stop us from being jealous that McDonald’s Germany offers the sandwich year-round!
