McDonald’s New BOGO For $1 Includes Quarter Pounders And 10-Piece Chicken Nuggets
McDonald's value menu just got a little bigger. The fast food giant announced a new buy one, get one for $1 deal rolling out today, August 13, for a limited time at stores nationwide, and it could make your lunch/dinner/snack run a whole lot cheaper.
Four menu items are included in the promo and they're all McDonald's classics: the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, the Big Mac, the Filet-O-Fish, and the 10-piece Chicken McNuggets. When you buy any of these as an entree, you can buy a second for just $1. In New York, most of these entrees are right around $6, so while the second has to be of equal or lesser value, you're still saving about $4-5 dollars with the deal and getting a second entree out of it.
Alyssa Buetikofer, McDonald's USA Strategic Planning and Value Lead, said this of the limited-time deal:
We know that many of today’s customers are looking to get more out of their dollars, and still want menu items they crave. The new Buy One, Get One for $1 deal is the latest way we’re bringing delicious, affordable food our customers love.
For the last few years, McDonald's has been balancing out adding higher-quality menu items while also continuing to offer low prices to customers. Earlier this year, McDonald's made the $1 $2 $3 Menu a little more flexible by letting local markets decide which items would be available on the discounted menu.
Like many fast food and fast casual restaurants, they've also increased deals and offers to customers who use their app. While deals may vary by customers, today's include $1.50 off Big Macs or Quarter Pounders with Cheese and free Hash Browns with any breakfast sandwich order.
