The actress first appeared in the show 'Blossom' before taking a break from the industry.

Mayim Bialik shocked us with this one!

The actress, 47, sat down on The Jennifer Hudson Show where she shared a major revelation with the audience about a job she had before starring in the hit comedy series, The Big Bang Theory.

Bialik revealed that she use to teach sex education to high school students after she took a break from the entertainment industry. "I worked on Blossom from the time I was 14 to 19," she said referring to her titular role in the '90s show that aired on NBC.

"I left the industry for nine years. I went to college, I went to grad school, I had two kids. So I was like out of the industry and then I came back to the industry and I was in Big Bang Theory," she said, adding, "but before, I would do the things that people do when they're in college and grad school."

"I tutored, I tutored Hebrew, um, I tutored piano, and one of the things I did was I tutored high school biology and that meant I taught sex ed to a group of high school students," Bialik revealed.

"I taught in the homeschool community. There's a Jewish homeschool community that meets in Los Angeles and so many of these kids were raised religious and they had never had really any kind of sex ed," she continued.

"And they were too young to know me from television. Their parents were like 'Blossom is teaching our kid,' but they [the kids] didn't know."

But this wasn't Bialik's first foray into academia. Last May, she appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Showwhere she revealed that she also designed a neuroscience curriculum for junior high and high school home school students–similar to her character on The Big Bang Theory, in which she played a neuroscientist.

What can't she do?
