Mayim Bialik Is Keeping Things Real While Prepping for a Holiday Dinner

The actress' messy kitchen is very relatable.

Turns out Mayim Bialik is just like all moms when they're getting ready for a fun holiday meal.

The Jeopardy! host went live on Instagram earlier today where she shared a very real moment of her chaotic kitchen while prepping a meal for Sukkot, the Jewish holiday which starts today, Oct. 9, and ends Oct. 16.

"Good morning," she said in the video with a little chuckle. "It's 8 o'clock in the morning here, I got a pimple on my chin like the size of the house I live in, not that my house is enormous, but it's like a big pimple," she continued.

"I thought I'd just say 'hello,' because it is yet another holiday tonight." Bialik went on to say that there are a lot of holidays in the fall "if you're a person who follows the Jewish lunar calendar."
For today's, Bialik was working on homemade granola straight from her very own cookbook, Mayim's Vegan Table, and it had caused a little bit of chaos in her kitchen—something we can all relate to while cooking for a holiday—involving dishes all over the countertops, cupboards left open, and a fully loaded dishwasher in need of emptying.

"Me and the gigantic pimple on my chin did a spontaneous live from my insanely messy kitchen as I cook and bake for #sukkot !" she humorously captioned the post.

Many supporters took to the comments to applaud the actress for being so honest with her fans.

One fan wrote, "Thanks for being so real!!! Good luck in the kitchen!!"

Another fan commented, "Love your authenticity!! And love your teaching about Jewish holidays! 🙌👏🙌❤️"

During the Livestream, Bialik also noted that it was her oldest son's, Miles Roosevelt Bialik Stone, 17th birthday tomorrow. Along with Miles, the actress shares her 14-year-old son, Frederick Heschel Bialik Stone, with her husband, Michael Stone.
