Maybelline Products Are Sold at Dollar General Stores Nationwide — Here's What You Should Shop

Within the last decade or so, drugstore beauty brands have improved significantly, which is amazing as now myriad more people can get their hands on quality products at accessible price points. Speaking of accessibility, our friends at Maybelline New York have taken it a step further by partnering up with Dollar General stores all over the nation, making its products even more convenient and easy to shop for. Cheers to that.

So, why, exactly did the brand team up with Dollar General when there are already so many different drugstores? Well, as it turns out, according to GlobalData Retail, 75 percent of the American population lives within five minutes of a Dollar General store, which is not the case with other affordable chains. Maybelline wanted its products to be easily accessible for anyone, no matter where you live in the country, so this partnership made perfect sense given its mission.

As if this wasn't enough good news, Maybelline recently tapped two of its brand ambassadors to dish on their favorite products available at Dollar General, and naturally, they shared some amazing picks. Vincent Oquendo, for one, is all about the classics — aka Great Lash Mascara ($5) and the ever-reliable Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation ($6). "This foundation is the best for buildable coverage," he says. "It’s lightweight, and leaves my clients shine-free so it's perfect for the red carpet."

As for makeup artist Jenna Kristina, she highly recommends the Color Sensational Lipsticks ($5), as well as the Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($7). "I always reach for this eyeliner whenever I’m doing a cat-eye because the super fine tip makes it so easy to create a sharp wing — plus it stays in place all day," she says.

All this to say: Next time you need to restock some of your favorites from Maybelline, definitely consider heading to your local Dollar General.
