Max Ehrich Reportedly Left Some Messy Comments on Demi Lovato’s Instagram About Their Breakup

Max Ehrich and Demi Lovato had a whirlwind quarantine relationship that culminated in a summer proposal and short-lived engagement before they split in September. Since then he’s displayed some questionable public behavior, including leaving very messy comments on one of Lovato’s recent Instagram posts, according to Elle. 

The comments were apparently a response to something Lovato said while hosting the People’s Choice Awards on November 15. 

“So I did what everyone else did: I went into lockdown mode and got engaged,” she said in her monologue about how she spent much of quarantine. “I got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of Postmates Unlimited. Also, I didn't know this could happen, but [I] reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert.” 

Erhich didn’t like this much, apparently, and decided to air his grievances on Lovato’s IG feed. “Stop talking about me on awards shows. thanks,” he wrote, according to Cosmopolitan. Then he reportedly added a second comment that read, “Exploiting our breakup for clout at PCA is not chill.”

Um, we’re not sure Demi Lovato needs to use anyone, let alone Max Ehrich, for “clout.” Also, this is coming from someone who was photographed alone on the beach “crying” post-breakup in a move many thought he orchestrated himself. He also claimed on his Instagram that he found out about the breakup from a tabloid. 

“Demi wants no contact with Max at this point,” a source said after the breakup to E! News. “She is completely embarrassed at the way he’s been acting and putting their relationship on blast via social media. She wants nothing to do with him. Demi is completely done and doesn’t want to see him again at this point. She can’t believe she fell into his trap and is really upset over it.”

To make matters messier, Ehrich was spotted kissing singer Mariah Angeliq days before this all happened. We’ll leave it to you to decide who is “chasing clout” in this scenario.
