Max delivered a new teaser trailer for its upcoming series The Penguin — a spinoff of Matt Reeves' The Batman.

Colin Farrell reprises his role as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin in Reeves' universe, and delivers a monologue about a man he knew named Rex Calabrese. With his signature scowl, Penguin touches on how Rex Calabrese "helped people" and that his death was mourned by his community. "When I’m 14 or somethinh, he has a heart attack and dies — still holdin’ a cigar,” he said.

“In my neighborhood," Penguin continued, "they throw a parade in his honor. A freaking parade. And it wasn’t fancy, but it was the gesture. The show of love — of what he meant.”

Joining Farrell in the cast are Cristin Milioti, who portrays Carmine Falcone’s daughter Sofia Falcone, as well as Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen. Showrunner Lauren LeFranc will co-executive produce alongside Reeves and Farrell.
