Actor Matthew Perry, who died on Oct. 28 at his home in Los Angeles, has been remembered in a number of tributes around the world. Fans have flocked to the apartment of his Friends character Chandler Bing, leaving flowers and mementos outside in his honor, while his closest friends and family have privately and publicly mourned his loss.
Perry's death was unexpected. His family released a statement on Oct. 29 in which they said, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."

The Friends star is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. His casket was placed in the walls in the Sanctuary of Love, a secluded outdoor mausoleum area, which is a gated, private section of the burial grounds.
