Entertainment journalist Athenna Crosby shared with ET details of what she and Matthew Perry spoke about the day before his tragic passing.

The two were photographed together at lunch, and Crosby told ET that Perry revealed "that he wanted to make a movie about his life". Perry even had casting choices in mind, saying that "he wanted Zac Efron to play him as a younger version in an upcoming biopic".

Efron and Perry both starred in the 2009 film 17 Again from director Burr Steers. Efron played the younger version of Perry's Mike O'Donnell, a man ungrateful for his life who gets a chance to rewrite his story.

Crosby remembered her friend fondly saying that over lunch, Perry "was cracking jokes the whole time". She told ET that she was "absolutely shocked and devastated" to hear the news of his passing, saying, "I remember thinking that this can't be real".

Matthew Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub at his home on October 28. His funeral was held on November 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles with his five Friends co-stars in attendance alongside his father and stepfather, as per Deadline.
