The cast of Matt Johnson's upcoming film about BlackBerry has been revealed.

According to reports, This Is The End's Jay Baruchel and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton lead the cast and will most likely portray BlackBerry co-founders Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie. Joining the pair are Cary Elwes, Saul Rubinek, Rich Sommer, Martin Donovan, Michael Ironside and director Johnson.

BlackBerry is an adaptation of the 2015 bestseller Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry penned by The Globe and Mail reporters Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff. The movie will detail how the world's first smartphone hit its apex in the 2000s and ended up falling off about two decades later, as well as focus on how the many legal disputes of its parent company Research in Motion affected the phone to the point where its market advantage was overtaken by Apple and Samsung.

Stay tuned for an official trailer and release date.
