Matt Damon Says Teenage Daughter Only Watches His Movies That She Thinks Will Be Bad

Basically, if Matt Damon, 52, got an Oscar nomination for it, then his daughter doesn't wanna see it. During a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Good Will Hunting actor told the talk show host that his 16-year-old daughter, Isabella, loves to troll him by only watching his films which she thinks will be bad.

“My 16-year-old likes to give me a hard time,” Damon told Meyers. “And she is very clear about not wanting to see anything that I'm in if she thinks it might be good.”

He added, “If I get bad reviews in something...that's the one she wants to see.”

With a laugh, Damon recounted a story to Meyers about when his daughter was talking with some friends about his film The Great Wall. He said, “She was talking about this movie...and she kept calling it The Wall. And I was finally like, ‘Isabella, that movie is called The Great Wall.’ And she was like, ‘Dad, there is nothing great about that movie.’”

Damon is currently a father to four children. He shares Isabella, Gia, 14, and Stella, 12, with his wife, Luciana Bozán. Meanwhile, he is also a stepfather to Alexia Barroso, who is a child from Bozán’s previous marriage.

Throughout his career, Damon has been nominated for five Academy Awards, winning one for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (which he penned with Ben Affleck). He was also nominated for Best Actor for the same film, and he was nominated again for The Martian in 2016. He received a nod for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his role in Invictus, and as a producer, he was nominated for Best Picture for Manchester by the Sea.
