Matt Damon Gets Sh*tty Welcome to Australia
Matt Damon, an actor so sick of Donald Trump that he reportedly uprooted and moved his family to Australia "for a year" (though a second Page Six source says it's just a few months while he's shooting a project), got a particularly shitty welcome to Byron Bay from one local. Damon was photographed wearing the bird's poop this weekend with a nice, "grin and bear it because the paps are watching" smile.
While the bird's motive wasn't disclosed-or if the little guy was sent along by Damon's forever frenemy Jimmy Kimmel-it's wholly plausible the Australian native was pissed at the subtle shade Damon recently threw at Ben Affleck's giant rising Phoenix back tattoo during his interview with Trevor Noah. Birds have to defend their kind, even when it's just artistic mythological renditions of them.
But not everyone in Australia hates Damon. Page Six reports Damon "laughed off" the bird incident and proceeded to have a lovely Easter with his bud Chris "Thor" Hemsworth and his family.
