Without making a huge to-do of the matter, a T&C prediction: we are about to enter a golden age of airport and travel dressing. After a year or so of virtually no travel and with that, absolutely nothing but sweatpants, elasticized bands, and spandex, global jet-setting, and let's face it, even weekend trips are back in full swing. With oodles of travel ahead of us, there is absolutely no reason to not treat what we wear on the way to our destinations as importantly as what we decide to wear there. Occasions abound! Here, 6 different sartorial inspirations for what to wear when you are jet-setting.

As far as glamorous travel goes, Jackie O. set the bar high. Let's face it, the former first lady rarely looked anything other than immaculate. Take cues from the timeless classic look that is as easy to wear as it is easy to look put together as you stroll through the airport. A matching ladylike twill jacket and miniskirt paired with classic flats (perfect for sliding on and off at security) and a structured handbag will never fail you. Pro tip: bring a travel throw to ensure you're not nippy on the flight.

Leggings? No way. Jeans are the perfect in-flight option. And no, surely they don't have to be skin tight. With a nipped high-waist and tapered leg, all you need is a belt and a good button down shirt for the base layer of the outfit. All you need is a blazer and contemporary accessories, like a trendy bucket hat and the ole faithful converse high-tops.

If you absolutely must wear stretchy fibers, take a page from Elizabeth Hurley's book and don't go with the matchy-matchy set. Instead, wear sporty track pants with a slim-fitting, cropped tee. Then, to ensure you don't sway too far into Gen-Z TikTok territory, add sleek and sophisticated accessories.

Who hasn't at one point or another wanted to replicate the effortlessness that is a model off-duty. Integral to the look: a good leather jacket. Layer over a flared midi skirt and top of any style. Add a cap that says "pas de photos," and finish the look with a statement bag. The bigger the better, too!

Traveling for business doesn't mean your look has to be boring. Case in point: Amal Clooney. The internationally acclaimed human rights lawyer is often pictured heading to-and-from major cases, but never misses an opportunity to infuse a little sartorial joy into the picture. A colorful skirt and sweater will work if you have to run directly to an engagement, but the bright red hue keep it interesting and simple at the same time. Tote everything you need in a tan carryall, and keep with the matchy-matchy theme with shoes of the same tone.

What's better to say "I'm about to hop on a flight," than a literal flight suit. Jumpsuits are fashion gold because they don't require a ton of thought. Add oversized shades and a booty kicking pair of slip-on boots, and you have yourself a look—a glamorous look.
