Massachusetts Rescue Makes Plea to Find Loving Home for Abandoned Pig
This not-so-little piggie needs a home!
When you visit a friend who lives out of state it's common to forget things when you return home. Your sunglasses. Your toothbrush. Heck, even your phone charger. These things can all easily be returned to you via your friendly postal service. Or, you can simply replace them.
What you don't forget, however, is your pet pig, which is exactly what happened to this sweetheart. WSVCB Channel 5 in Boston shared the following video of precious Clarendon.
Clarendon's adoption page reads, "Clarendon is a young, spayed female hog, likely around 5 or 6 months old. She has a beautiful burgundy bristle coat which makes her better able to adapt to New England weather. It shines red in the sun which makes us think that she may be a Duroc cross. She weighs 129 lbs now and will probably be 300 lbs when full grown, so you'll need adequate space to keep her. What's the best thing about Clarendon? Her personality! She is a very friendly, affectionate pig who will come galloping over to greet guests."
This little piggie needs to go whee-whee-whee all the way to someone's home where they can give her the care and love she deserves. The tragic part of this is the video states she was "probably bred for consumption." The Animal Rescue League of Boston assures us that Clarendon will not be adopted for consumption and that she has to be kept as a companion animal and a pet.
