The Masked Singer viewers who tuned in for season 4 definitely remember the oh-so sweet and utterly adorable Mushroom (who turned out to be singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc). Well, believe it or not, season 5 has an equally sweet and lovable competitor hoping to claim the title — Raccoon.

With his big blue eyes and black and white fur, Raccoon is quickly becoming a fan favorite on the show. Even though season 5 of The Masked Singer has only just begun, fans are already piecing together who might be underneath the delightful costume. See what Masked Singer Twitter is already saying about Raccoon below.

Who Is Raccoon on The Masked Singer?

First, let's take a look at the clues we have about this furry contestant:

  • Raccoon is wearing a red flannel shirt underneath a tan vest and sheriff-like ensemble.

  • Raccoon's hat has a California license plate on it.

  • Raccoon has a magnifying glass, the number 44, flip knife, and Quasimodo in his clue package.

  • Raccoon alludes to spending time in jail and says that he made a pact with God that if he was given a second chance, he'd "only do good."

Hands down, the most popular guess out there is that Raccoon is Danny Trejo. The Spy Kids actor is well known for his role Machete, which could explain Raccoon's flip knife. What's more, the 44 markings on the wall from the clue package match up with Danny's birth year, 1944. Perhaps the biggest clue, however, is Raccoon talking about spending time in jail. Prior to making it big in Hollywood, Danny served time for drug, robbery, and theft charges. With Entertainment Weekly, Danny talked about how God played a role in turning his life around. The actor's upcoming memoir Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood gets more into his journey to success.

After Raccoon started singing "Wild Thing," some folks immediately thought of the ACDC frontman, who is known for his iconic raspy vocals. Plus, the knife could refer to the ACDC album The Razors Edge while the jail clues could be the show's way of hinting at the band's hit "Jailbreak." We're not quite sure how the other clues match up — still, we're not counting Brian out at this point!

Of course, once we hear more of Raccoon's voice and get a few more clue packages under our belts, we'll be able to take a closer look. But for now, your guess is as good as ours — who do you think it could be? Tell us in the comments below!
