While we don't know much about Dalmatian, Mallard and Hamster's singing talents just yet, we do know that the secret performers will be part of a new twist in season 6. According to what executive producer Craig Plestis told Entertainment Weekly, season 6 will feature just two groups — Group A and Group B. For the first time in Masked Singer history, the winner of Group A will face off against the winner of Group B in the season finale.

"It's almost like we have three finales in our show. We have a winner from Group A and Group B, and they'll then be going head-to-head almost like a prizefight to see who is the Masked Singer [in the finale]. But the great thing is, they'll be taking on each other, and they've never sat on the same stage together until that moment," Craig explained.

It’s a little early to know which celebrities are going to participate in the next season of The Masked Singer. That said, when all of the costume announcements are made, fans should know that wildcard contestants are likely going to be part of the picture. According to showrunner James Breen, who spoke with Deadline, he’s open to making this relatively new element of the show a staple going forward.

“That’s an idea we’ve had for a couple of seasons,” he told the outlet. “The wildcards felt like they’d only work if they were bringing something fresh to the competition. I think it’s something that we’re going to do again.”

What’s more, a character like Cluedle-Doo, who turned out to be Donnie Wahlberg in disguise, could be back as well. Throughout season 5, the mysterious rooster provided additional clues about performers. But he also played tricks on the judges and viewers alike, so he wasn't always a trusted source.

Who will be The Masked Singer season 6 judges?

It’s a pretty safe bet that Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke will all be back as judges on The Masked Singer in the fall. The same goes for host Nick Cannon. Of course, if we hear otherwise we'll update this post.
