'The Masked Singer' Fans Are Already Certain They Know Who the Ladybug Is

The Masked Singer season 2 is full of super-wacky costumes. But perhaps the most out-there costume of all this season is the Ladybug. Which celebrity is behind this insect's red-and-black ensemble? The internet has a few really good ideas ...
Who is the Lady Bug on The Masked Singer?
Let's look at what we do know:
The Ladybug is a woman.
She was introduced at the 2019 Emmy Awards.
A ladybug symbolizes good luck.
The singing insect flaunts '80s-like shoulder pads in the shape of ladybugs.
The Ladybug also has some ruby-red stones on her gown.
The Ladybug says, "Being born into the limelight, the media was always keeping up with every piece of gossip and family feud."
In a clue package, the Ladybug is seen spinning a gameshow wheel with pictures of a ham, pumpkin, bridge, dog holding mail, gavel, scorpion, skull, police car, and baseball bat.

Mariska Hargitay
While we don't have much to go off of at the moment, a few clues point to actress Mariska being the Ladybug on The Masked Singer. First off, The Masked Singer didn't reveal the Ladybug's costume until the night of the 2019 Emmy Awards. The Ladybug's introduction at the Emmys seems to be its own clue — in other words, the celebrity underneath the insect costume is an Emmy-winning actress. If this was, in fact, meant to be a clue, it fits nicely with Mariska's Emmy history. Back in 2006, Mariska won the Emmy for playing Detective Olivia Benson in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Moreover, Mariska has opened up in the past about how she feels lucky, despite her right lung collapsing while on the set of Law and Order and losing her mother, Jayne Mansfield, in a car accident when she was three. And the jewels? Mariska was born on January 23. The birthstone of January is garnet, which appears to be what's on the Ladybug's costume.
Kelly Osbourne
Kelly's family drama used to be documented on the early 2000s reality series The Osbournes, including one episode where Sharon Osbourne threw a ham at their neighbors and the cops showed up (which would take care of the ham and cop car clue). Besides that, Kelly is a Scorpio, her father, Ozzy Osbourne, once bit the head off of a bat (hello, baseball bat clue), and Kelly has been a talent judge on Australia's Got Talent and Project Runway Junior.
