Billy Crudup's ex, Mary-Louise Parker, is speaking out about his recent marriage to Naomi Watts.

The Weeds star doesn't make many comments about the man or their relationship, which lasted from 1996 to 2003, when he left her—several months pregnant with their son, William Atticus Parker—for Claire Danes, but she did offer a brief comment during a recent interview with The Guardian.

Published today, June 15, but recorded three days after news dropped that Watts and Crudup had headed down to the courthouse, the interviewer quickly switched gears before time was up to sneak in mention of the nuptials.

Author Lauren Mechling described the actress as appearing "stunned" upon hearing the question, but she was quick to reply, “I wish them well. And absolutely, I honestly of course wish them every happiness because that’s my son’s father. So I’m happy for them. I’m happy they found each other.”

Watts and Crudup made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 SAG Awards, though they'd been linked since 2017 when they met on set of Netflix's Gypsy, going Instagram official in 2018 when Watts posted a selfie captioned, "My darling ♥️."

They surprised friends and fans alike when Watts posted a photo of the two all decked out in wedding garb outside of the Manhattan courthouse with the caption "Hitched!" earlier this week, leading to a flood of congratulatory comments.
