Mary J. Blige Shines in a Risk-Taking Fringed Dress & Glittering Heels for Her Movie Premiere

Mary J. Blige was the star of the show last night at her own movie premiere and she made sure to dress the part, too.
Attending the red carpet for the premiere of her “My Life” documentary in New York, the singer brought down the house in a glittering fringed dress. The statement design comes courtesy of Alexandre Vauthier’s spring ’21 couture lineup and features bold elements like padded shoulders and daringly high leg slits.

The shining appeal of the “Family Affair” musician’s look came in the form of towering heels from Giuseppe Zanotti. Set atop a round toe, the sandals highlight a triple strap design with a full crystal coating across the uppers; the metallic design also includes an over 4-inch lifted heel, bearing resemblance to the brand’s Harmony silhouette. Beyond her glittering heels, you can also find Mary J. Blige in designs from Jimmy Choo, Le Silla, DSquared2 and more top brands when it comes to footwear. As for apparel both on and off the red carpet, the “Just Fine” singer’s closet includes pieces from the likes of Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Cushnie et Ochs and Tom for amongst others.
Over the years in the spotlight, Blige has also been tapped to star in campaigns for a series of the biggest names in the business — think MAC Cosmetics ads alongside Sir Elton John. She also launched her own record label as well as her own perfume and sunglasses lines and has had ties to Reebok, Air Jordan, The Gap, Target and more.
