Chukwudi Iwuji, who plays the High Evolutionary in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, has revealed that they actually shot an alternate ending. However, those who have yet to watch the movie should be warned of spoilers ahead.

In a recent appearance on ComicBook's Phase Zero podcast, the actor, who portrayed the main antagonist shared his hopes that fans will be able to see the different ending one day. "Well, let me just put it this way. I'm hoping you'll see an extended version or maybe an alternate ending, you know, that we certainly did film," Iwuji confirmed.

He continued, "I mean the whole point in Marvel is that unless you see someone die they haven't necessarily died and even if they do die what does that mean in the multiverse, right? But, the point is that Rocket doesn't shoot me. They make a point of saying why don't you kill him and he says no, I'm not going to kill him. And you don't actually see me go down with the ship. So, I'll just leave it at that."

Vol. 3 has been in theaters for about two weeks now and has already hit a major milestone — surpassing half a billion dollars in the global box office. The movie experienced only a 49% drop in its second week, which is widely considered as a mass improvement in comparison to Marvel’s latest films such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which suffered from an almost 70% drop.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Loki season two has received an official release date.
