The Marvels is finally here and while it's bringing together three of our favorite heroes for the ultimate matchup, the final scene in the movie is also setting up the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big and exciting way. And if you've been tuning in to all the TV shows and recent releases that Marvel has been taking out, it should be no surprise what is coming next: Young Avengers. Curious about what this means for the MCU?

Here's everything you need to know about the Young Avengers after The Marvels.

Okay, so, what exactly is Young Avengers?

For those who may not follow the comics super closely, there's actually a special superhero team called the Young Avengers. These are younger superhero kids who work together as a team, similar to the actual Avengers, to save the world. Several members have already appeared in the MCU, like America Chavez from Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, but that doesn't mean they will all be involved in this new matchup.

In the comics, it's actually Vision that brings them together to try to start a brand-new superhero team after the original Avengers disband for a number of reasons.

Who is confirmed to be in the Young Avengers so far?

Things will no doubt change as we find out more though we already have two confirmed members thanks to the ending of The Marvels.

Ms. Marvel / Kamala Khan

It was actually Kamala's idea to create a brand new superhero team, no doubt inspired by her own heroes. While it's not confirmed if she will eventually be the leader of the team, it does look like she's the first to go out and recruit new members as evidenced in the final scene of The Marvels.

The second confirmed member is none other than Kamala's fellow East Coast superhero, Kate Bishop. At the end of The Marvels, Kamala visits Kate's apartment and tells her that she's forming a superhero team, kind of like Fury did when he was starting off the Avengers. Kate seemingly agrees to join the group at the end.

Who might join the Young Avengers?

Throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been a couple of characters who have appeared and have a chance of becoming part of the group. While they haven't been confirmed to be official members, fans are still hoping they join in at some point:

America Chavez is a teenager from another universe with the ability to travel through the multiverse. In Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, she works with Doctor Strange after Wanda tries to track her down and take her abilities.

While we've seen her grow up throughout the entire MCU, Cassie finally got to wear her own suit at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She got to team up with Scott and Hope for the big battle at the end and did not disappoint.

There's still a lot more to go in Ironheart's story after her big appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. After all, she is getting her own TV show soon. But that doesn't mean she might not help this superhero team. She is more of an ally instead of an official member in the comics (although Iron Lad is), so it can honestly go either way with her character.

We didn't get to see much of Eli in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but he is a founding member of the team under the alias Patriot. Whether this will happen in the MCU remains to be seen, but we wouldn't doubt that he could play some part.

We may just know them as Billy and Tommy, WandaVision gave us a hint that we might see them become Wiccan (Billy) and Speed (Tommy). While they don't really exist in the main Marvel timeline, multiverse mixups have happened in the past so there's always a chance they can join in.

We got to meet Kid Loki in the first season of Loki when the God of Mischief met other versions of himself and yes, he does become a part of this superhero team in the comics, so it wouldn't be too surprising to also see him tag along.

In the Young Avengers comics, there is a Hulk character known as Hulkling, but Skaar is actually a completely different character. In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Bruce Banner reveals he has a son and Skaar makes a special appearance. Because of his age and the fact that he's completely new, there's a chance that he might be part of this supergroup.
