Prime Video announced that the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, had been renewed for a fifth and final season... sadly, this is no joke! While the beloved comedy is coming to an end, star Rachel Brosnahan, who plays titular character Miriam “Midge” Maisel, has teased that Season 5 is "going to be a hell of a final chapter."

It's nearly showtime! The official trailer for the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was released less than a month ahead of the premiere. Midge declares in the trailer that she is tired of taking two steps forward and three steps back. Susie then tells her, "This is it. This is the break. They'll see you for what you are, a godd-mn star. You in?"

Prior to the official trailer, Prime Video dropped a teaser on March 2 showing a glammed up Midge having her photo taken by various photographers as her name is called out. "Thank you and good night," she is heard saying at the end.

Who is in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 cast?

It wouldn't be The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel without Midge, played by Brosnahan. The cast also includes Alex Borstein as Midge's manager Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen (Joel Maisel), Marin Hinkle (Rose Weissman), Tony Shalhoub (Abe Weissman), Kevin Pollak (Moishe Maisel) Caroline Aaron (Shirley Maisel), Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller, and Jason Ralph.

What will happen in Season 5 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel?

Prime Video has revealed that after having an epiphany in front of The Gordon Ford Show’s snowy billboard in the Season 4 finale, "Midge is ready to 'Go forward' and fight for her ascent to stardom—equipped with her quick wit and sharp tongue, and nothing else to lose." According to the official synopsis, Brosnahan's character "finds herself closer than ever to the success she's dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away."

Sorry Maisel fans, but Season 5 will be the final season of the award-winning Prime Video series.
