Year after year, Marvel delivers transformative movies and television shows that transport us to different realms and universes and carry us across mind-bending time continuums. In 2023, the studio packs even more action and adventures with its highly anticipated lineup of new movies and TV shows. From the silver to the small screen, there’s so much superhero content to look forward to this year.
Superhero Scott Lang returns in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The Guardians of the Galaxy also band back together in volume three of their beloved franchise. Over on Disney+, the WandaVision spinoff series, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, makes its debut, as does the miniseries Secret Invasion, featuring Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury. New York City's newest heroes are the most unlikely of sorts: a teenage genius named Lunella and a T-Rex dinosaur who accidentally entered our world through a time vortex. Together, they work hard to protect the Lower East Side in Manhattan.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Release Date: February 17, 2023 in theaters
Ant-Man returns in this sequel to the earlier Ant-Man films. This time, Scott Lang, his daughter Cassie, Hope Van Dyne, Janet Van Dyne, and Dr. Hank Pym find themselves in the Quantum Realm, a secret universe beneath theirs.
This film marked the beginning of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Release Date: May 5, 2023 in theaters
Grab the tissues — Peter Quill is bringing the Guardians together after the loss of Gamora as they face off against the High Evolutionary to protect the universe once again.
And yup, the one and only Pete Davidson makes an unexpected appearance. Following the film’s release, director James Gunn confirmed the comedian’s cameo as an alien named Phlektik.
“I voiced the beautiful Lambshank. I don’t want to show her here because she’s too gorgeous & I don’t want folks to feel bad about themselves in comparison,” the filmmaker wrote on Twitter, alongside photos of himself, Pete, Chris Pratt, and other stars on set. “And my friend Pete not only voiced but actually came to visit us in Atlanta for a day and played Phlektik on set.” Iconic.

Bullet Train star Aaron Taylor-Johnson is playing the title character, a deadly Spider-Man villain, in this new origin story. Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff, aka Kraven, is determined to prove himself as the world's greatest hunter.

Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) gets her powers entangled with that of Kamala Khan (aka Ms. Marvel) and Monica Rambeau, which forces the trio to work together to save the universe.

A spin-off of the 2021 miniseries Hawkeye, this show stars Maya Lopez, aka Echo, as she returns to her hometown to deal with her past and reconnect with her Native American roots.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos
Release Date: TBD 2023 on Disney+
Agatha Harkness takes center stage in this WandaVision spinoff series. Kathryn Hahn stars as the titular character, a powerful witch and neighbor to Wanda Maximoff. Marvel and Disney+ have yet to reveal general plot details, but The White Lotus’s Aubrey Plaza and Heartstopper’s Joe Locke have signed onto the project.
Ironheart

What If...? (Season 2)

Jackson, Lake Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, and more, and according to the streaming giant, season 2 features an equally remarkable lineup.
X-Men '97

This show will continue the storyline of the early '90s cartoon, X-Men: The Animated Series. Join Wolverine, Gambit, Beast, and the rest of mutant superheroes as they go on more adventures in the name of justice.
