As he reunites with love interest Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld), he meets the elusive Spider Society comprised of Spider-People doing Miles' job in other timelines a.k.a. protecting the existence of the Multiverse. But when a new threat causes the group to disagree on strategy, the teen sets out on his own mission to save those he cares about the most.

As for a specific release date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, that's currently difficult to determine. Disney+ often drops new releases on the site within three months of its theatrical debut, like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. If this movie follows a similar pattern, folks can expect to start streaming it around Labor Day weekend in early September 2023.
