The 'Only Murders in the Building' star gave up his seat for this rapper's daughter.

Martin Short just pulled the kindest gesture to another celebrity's daughter–and didn't even know it!

On Feb. 26, Chance the Rapper took to his Twitter to recall a story where the actor, 72, gave up his airplane seat for the rapper's daughter so the two could sit together.

"So I just got on this plane with my daughter, and found out our seats weren't next to each other. I really ain't wanna inconvenience anyone by asking them to swap seats, but before I could say anything this kind older gentleman offered his seat to Kensli so we could sit together," Chance, 29, said of the sweet encounter.

"We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realize it’s THE Martin Short!! So cool and Kensli freaked out cause she’s obsessed with The Santa Clause 3," he continued, adding, "What an awesome person! SHOUTOUT TO JACK FROST."

Many people responded to Chance's tweet, praising Short for his kind gesture, with Autumn Rowe who wrote, "Martin Short… living legend. Love this."

"That’s truly a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing. Love when wonderful people make kids days. Yayyyyy," another Twitter user wrote.

"Martin Short is the man. I’m curious if he knew who Chano was. Wouldn’t surprise me either way – just a cool story of two awesome humans meeting," one user said.

"He seems like the type of guy who’d do that, how kind," a fourth person added.

Other Twitter users were recommending that the rapper introduce his daughter to other films that Short has starred in, including his 1994 film Clifford. "Hey Chance the Rapper you and your daughter should watch Clifford, it's a great movie starring Martin Short and I think you'll love it."

Short is known for many iconic roles throughout his career including Three Amigos, Father of the Bride, and has also appeared on Saturday Night Live. Today, Short stars in the hit Hulu series, Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Selena Gomez.
