Marti Gould Cummings gives their husband a retro-inspired drag makeover

Host Marti Gold Cumming’s husband Blake transformed into his drag character, Emma Tallgal, in this week’s episode of Dragged.

Co-host Jasmine Rice LaBeija joined in to guide Blake, who’s a fan of vintage style and Glenn Close, on his drag journey.

“I feel that just knowing you, you’re very like, 1950’s retro,” Jasmine said.

Blake chose the nickname Emma Tallgal as in “I’mma tall gal,” which made sense considering how he towered over Jasmine and Marti on set.

“You look so good, babe,” Marti said when they saw their husband’s makeup done up with berry lipstick and false lashes.

Then it was time for Marti and Jasmine to choose Blake’s new look.

“I’m so excited to make my husband a beautiful lady,” Marti said. “I have my little ’50s house dress on. He wants to have that same aesthetic.”

Jasmine suggested a floor-length gown to suit Blake’s height and a long shaggy, blond wig.

After the makeover, Blake, AKA Emma Tallgal, was larger than life in pink heels, a retro floral print dress and kitschy yellow dish-washing gloves.

Marti asked Blake if this gave him insight into what they do for a living as a professional drag queen.

“Yeah, I’m sorry,” Blake confessed. “I need to give you more foot massages.”
