Baking is ultra-trendy right now. Maybe we’re all entering our Nara Smith era because any time we open up TikTok or Instagram, we’re bombarded with tips and tricks for making sourdough starters, getting a nice crisp on homemade bread, or even how to whip up some tasty two-ingredient muffins. While it seems like almost everybody is getting into baking these days, not everybody is doing it quite like Martha Stewart. Luckily, the lifestyle queen herself is sharing exactly how she pulls off Pinterest-worthy cakes without much effort at all.

“This rosy riff on a strawberry shortcake is sure to become a new Bundt cake classic. To make it, you’ll first tint a portion of the batter pink with ground freeze-dried strawberries. Once it’s poured into the pan alongside the non-tinted batter, you swoosh a knife through to create a swirl. Cue the oohs and aahs. Get the recipe at the link in our bio. 📷: @pissinginthepunchbowl,” Stewart said on May 12 on Instagram.

The recipe was in the May 2020 issue of Martha Stewart Living — but beyond the mouth-watering recipe, you’ll need a special Bundt pan to replicate this beauty — and Stewart’s IG followers sleuthed it out. It’s Nordic Ware’s Crown Bundt pan, and conveniently, you can get it on Amazon.

Will it take more than a special pan for our version to look as good as Martha’s? Probably, but trying to recreate her magic will be tasty, if nothing else.

Prep time takes less than 40 minutes to get ready, and serves over a dozen people.

Make sure you get freeze-dried strawberries, strawberries, vanilla extract, whole milk, and baking powder, to name a few. And after six steps, you can enjoy a cake the whole family will love. And let’s face it, this would be a great way to spend Mother’s Day!
