Martha Stewart undoubtedly lives a lavish life, and is inviting her fans to do the same... but there's only one problem—she's a multi-millionaire (former billionaire, at that), and a majority of her fans are, well, not.

Needless to say, what may be commonplace for her is not exactly easily-accessible for most, and people didn't hold back when communicating this fact in the comments of a recent Instagram post.

On Sunday, July 16, the Martha Stewart Living mogul took to social media to show off a new ingredient she was trying after being introduced by a friend, enthusiastically sharing the recipe components.

"Thank you Raymond Mizrahi for introducing me to @blackdiamondcaviar black truffles from Australia," she opened the note, explaining the origin of the exotic mushroom-like fungi which appeared in the photos. "Yesterdays [sic] truffle was pure, fresh, fragrant and so so black and the tastiest truffle I have ever eaten i served it sliced thinly and then chopped , warmed in clarified butter and tossed with Italian made spaghettini and sea salt," she added, along with an offering to her followers to "Try it!!"

All seemed to be well with the recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model's post, except for the part where she invited fans to "try it," alluding to the fact that it's something most people can afford to get their hands on.

On the website, a 4-oz Black Perigold Truffle costs $250.

In the comments of the upload, fans joked about the sentiment, essentially letting the 81-year-old know how out of touch the particular remark was.

"Martha casually telling us to try Australian black truffle-like we plebs have access to it 😭😭😭," one wrote, referring to plebians, which in ancient Rome were defined as average, working-class people.

Another followed up with, "Martha I love you girl but I would need another stimulus check 😂," referencing the government-provided financial support payments distributed to American citizens during the COVID-19 lockdown.

"Flexin on all of us poor people," a third said, as a fourth doubled down, "Really, you’re going to tell us to 'try it'?! 😂"

Several more chimed in with equally hilarious commentary, adding things like, "Girl….. we’re poor," "And how much are they? Can the riff raff afford them? I am thinking, non," and "Try it !!! Oh Martha. We wish 🤦‍♀️."

"'Try it.' Will do, but you will have to 'buy it' and send it to me. Seriously, whoever is writing Martha’s captions needs to get real," an additional Instagram user suggested, and another person trolled the TV personality with: "I just gilded my toenails with 14 carat gold flakes and then studded with some rare pink diamonds mined from the Kimberley Region- so pretty- try it! 😂."

"Let's see, I can afford the sea salt...and maybe the spaghettini...😂," a separate light-hearted comment read.

We're not saying there was any ill intent with the caption, as Stewart likely didn't even see anything wrong with simply sharing her newest discovery. The reactions sure did give us a laugh, though!
