The lifestyle guru steers clear of these two major turnoffs when out in the dating world.

Martha Stewart is on the lookout for green flags only.

The 81-year-old businesswoman doesn't give just anyone the time of day when it comes to dating, and there are specific red flags that are total deal-breakers for her.

In a new conversation with E! Insider Shop, the lifestyle guru opened up about her dating life, admitting that she has two major icks when exploring the dating pool: having bad breath and being cheap.

"When I mean cheap, I mean not generous," she clarified.

But even if a potential suitor is minty fresh and unafraid to crack open their wallet, Stewart still doesn't see a partner in her near future with her busy schedule and all.

"I know a lot of eligible men,” she said. “I think they really want a woman who will take care of them, so I’m still not quite in that position where I can take care of a man full-time because I work too much."

“And that’s my big problem," she continued. "I think that If I analyze my life, I think the work has taken precedence over the romance. And I think a lot of people are in that position. I have a hard time making room for both and it’s not the highest priority that I have a boyfriend, but it would be nice.”

But even still, the cookbook author has given some thought to her ideal dates, which she hopes would involve some good food and thrilling adventures.

"I’d like to go someplace. I’d like to have a lovely dinner in a good place, a good restaurant,” she said. "I’d like to, maybe if it’s daytime, maybe take a nice hike... I’d like to go on a nice big boat someplace. I’d love to travel by boat. I like to explore. I’d like to go helicoptering, too. Helicoptering is a lot of fun. I love to see places from the air.”

During the conversation, Stewart—who was married to ex-husband Andrew Stewart from 1961 to 1990—also got candid about the biggest lesson she's learned about love throughout her life, telling the publication, "The biggest lesson on love is you gotta have time,” she said. “You got to make time.”

But even if she's not ready for something serious, Stewart isn't afraid to crush on some heartthrobs, including Pete Davidson, who she admitted to having a crush on in October 2022. Just a month later, she also confessed to having the hots for a "very handsome young boy on Instagram" who happens to be Brad Pitt. We can't blame her on that!
