Or rather, Stewart and Pure Leaf has you covered, with a seriously cool giveaway that’s perfect for all tea lovers, and anyone who doesn’t mind a handy shortcut or two to their DIY projects.

“Why do it yourself when Pure Leaf does it just as well, if not better?” Stewart said about the brand. “We all know I cherish the act of DIYing, but I’ve come to a place where I’m more discerning with where I exert my time and energy….Pure Leaf has always been my best-kept secret when it comes to hosting hacks.”

Starting on Oct 26, shoppers can enter a giveaway from Pure Leaf that lets them get a Pure Leaf x Martha Stewart ‘Don’t Do It Yourself’ Kit.

We got to talk to Stewart about her Pure Leaf collaboration, her newest project in the works, and the simple motto she has for people who think their age defines what they can and can’t do.

When you sit down with Stewart, you know you’re in the presence of someone who knows exactly who they are and isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. She knows she’s the Queen of DIY, and she knows that the world is full of wonderous things to try, whether it be creating a maze (yes, that’s actually happening) or making your own tea in a simple way that Pure Leaf shows.

In Stewart’s own words, the kit “is introductory to a delicious product,” and so much comes with it. “It’s a very high-quality, convenient drink. Put a piece of mint and maybe some lemon and have a nice iced tea!” (Always has hosting on the brain!)

Now, if you’re wondering what’s in the Stewart-approved kit, she broke it all down, and boy, it sounds like a tea lover’s dream! “There’s an ice cube, a square ice cube tray, so you can make your own square ice cubes with a little design of a pure leaf in it,” she said. “[There’s also] a bottle full of dried fruits as a garnish for your ice tea, a bottle of the pure leaf, a pitcher, so you can just pour it right over ice in the pitcher and enjoy!”

(And if you’re wondering which one of Pure Leaf’s drinks is her favorite, it’s the unsweetened iced tea since she doesn’t “like sugary drinks, this is healthy and cooling!”)

Now, this may be all about “Don’t-DIYing,” but Stewart doesn’t abide by that mindset. “I think people should always do things. I think it’s important, but certain things can be left to others if it’s done better or done in a more tasty manner,” she said.

But truly, being a DIY guru was always in Stewart’s genes.

“I’ve always been making things. I’m from a family of people who have always done things with their hands and made things. Mom was a great seamstress and sower. My father was a great gardener and builder. As kids, we were encouraged to do as much as we could possibly do ourselves,” she said.

She also detailed how each of her siblings DIYed in their own, truly unique ways. One brother was a fisherman who “tied all his own flies, and made his own fishing rods.” Another brother was a wood carver, while another brother makes stained glass, and another was “a builder of all kinds of houses and buildings.”

As for her sisters, one “is an incredible weaver,” while another was “really great cook and homemaker, and a fabulous sewer.”

And Stewart? We know she can cook, bake, write, and craft anything she wants. And during our conversation, she not only discussed her love of all things plants, but the major (potentially record-breaking) venture she’s working on.

“Planting, gardening, [and] nurturing the outdoors” is what she loves right now, and in her free time, she works in her six greenhouses. “I have one greenhouse just for vegetables, and so I can eat completely from my greenhouse all winter long. I have one greenhouse that’s just citrus, so I grow all my own oranges and lemons and limes in New York State. So it’s it’s quite an enterprise.”

She added, “That’s the kind of stuff I like to do.”

Not only does she have six greenhouses, but she’s going above and beyond and making a maze.

“I am making a three-acre maze planted with every row is a different kind of plant or shrub or tree, and it’s basically a maze for me and my horses to exercise in,” she gushed. “I was reading in the Farmer’s Almanac that it might be the biggest maze in the continental United States!” (She also divulged she has around 18 more months on it before it’s complete, and we seriously can’t wait to see what this IRL Labyrinth moment is like!)

And for those wondering, “Why a maze?!” She simply said, “I’m just curious about it. I love how they look and I love walking in mazes.” (Can you say “iconic?!”)

And if you’re wondering how Stewart truly is, this interaction sums it up perfectly. When asked, “What about people who think their age limits what they can do?” She simply smiled, and said, “Think again.”
