Martha Stewart isn’t here for comments on ‘dressing your age’

Martha Stewart is living her best life. And it shows.

Proving those tried-and-true cliches of age is just a number and you’re as young as you feel, when asked by Page Six Style about dressing “for one’s age” at a recent event, Stewart quipped, “Dressing for whose age?”

“I’ve dressed the same since I was 17,” Stewart told Page Six Style. “If you look at my pictures on my Instagram, I look pretty much the same.”

The 80-year-old Stewart admits she doesn’t even think about age.

“I don’t think about age,” she told Page Six Style. “I think people are more and more and more (fabulous) than they’ve ever been in their senior years, and I applaud every one of them.”

Earlier this year, the lifestyle maven made history as the oldest woman on the cover of Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit edition.

“To be on the cover [at] my age was a challenge, and I think I met the challenge,” Stewart told the Today show. “For me, it is a testament to good living. And I think that all of us should think about good living, successful living and not about aging. The whole aging thing is so boring.”

Boring indeed.

Stewart has shunned stereotypes about what women of a “certain age” should – and should not – do.

“I don’t look my age, I don’t act my age and I don’t want to even think about age,” she told TODAY.com.

She also acknowledged that many of her friends are much younger than her. “Most of my friends are much younger than I am and that’s not because I choose them. They just are my friends because we have the same interests. So, it’s not about – and I always say this – it’s not about successful aging. It’s about successful living,” Stewart said.

Among her famous and younger friends is rap icon Snoop Dogg, and their relationship is the epitome of #FriendGoals.

Never mind #FriendGoals; Martha Stewart is straight up #GOALS.
