Metallic shoes are here to stay.

I’m often pretty resistant to jumping on trends because of how quickly they come and go. One day it’s tomato girl summer and the next it’s not. But earlier this week, Martha Stewart single-handedly convinced me one of this year’s hottest shoe styles isn’t going anywhere — so yes, I’m finally giving in and grabbing a pair of my own.

In a photo posted to Instagram, Stewart can be seen rocking her signature sultry pout, a sequined silver dress with the highest leg slit, and a pair of metallic, peep-toe heels (yes, in fall!).

The eye-catching shoes made major waves in the winter when Anne Hathaway and Katie Holmes wore them and maintained their popularity into summer thanks to Jennifer Lopez and Helen Mirren. But just when I thought the style might be heading out, Stewart posed in a pair that made me realize metallic shoes really are the new neutral — they look good with literally everything, from her disco-esque dress to a simple white T-shirt. So I found 10 metallic styles you can wear this fall, from eye-catching booties to a few lookalike heels.

Coach Laurence Sandal

Coach

$250

Look, I get that peep-toe heels might not be the most seasonal, but like Stewart, I don’t really care. For the right shoe, I’ll risk my feet getting a little cold, and TBH, I think I found that in Coach’s Laurence Sandal, which looks nearly identical to Stewart’s shoe. This heel speaks to the silver trend while maintaining Coach’s high quality thanks to its leather interior and exterior, because if metallic shoes are here for the long haul, you might as well invest in a nice pair. Shoppers rave that they’re surprisingly versatile, saying that the shoes “look very professional” at work but are also perfect “as a night-out heel.” And according to other customers, they “go with everything from jeans, ankle pants, and skirts to maxi dresses,” adding that “the block heel gives your leg height with comfort for walking.”

Naturalizer Banks Pump

Nordstrom

$100

But if you want something close-toed, Naturalizer Banks Pumps are an excellent option, boasting more than 100 five-star reviews at Nordstrom. This slingback, pointed-toe heel features a cushioned footbed, with shoppers writing that the shoes are “beyond comfortable.” “[They’re] the most comfortable shoes I own,” said one fan, noting that “the leather is so soft.” “Comfortable, walkable, [and] elegant,” wrote another person.

XYD Kitten Heel Booties

Amazon

Amazon

$90

While Stewart might have opted for a heeled sandal this time around, the star has been known to rock a bootie — so why not combine her two looks for a shoe that’s fall-ready and on trend? XYD’s Kitten Heel Booties feature a low kitten heel and chic pointed toe, perfect for wearing on with a pair of jeans when you want a bold pop of color. “This boot is stunning,” said one person who was obsessed with the fit, color, and heel size. Plus, they were impressed just how well the shoes work with everything, writing that they “can dress [them] up or down.”

Metallic shoes once again made the cut this season, with Stewart convincing me they might be the eye-catching shoe I can wear year-round. Shop more styles inspired by her recent look below:
