Martha Gill Sacrifices Body To Somehow Snake Around Final Gate

In the Crankworx Speed and Style competition, the final gates of the course were very tight. While most riders made it through, some of them had trouble.

Watch Martha Gill crash spectacularly in the finish corral below.

In this video, Martha snaked her way around the final gate but got her bike sideways in the loose dirt and slammed. Thankfully she was okay.

Martha did not crash because of ineptitude, rather she showed her immense skill. Pushing to make up time, Gill had taken the last couple of corners straight and fast.

Finding herself "late" and pointed at the last gate, she flicked her bike around the flag to make the gate count. As the announcers said, it was an impressive maneuver.

Martha is a Crankworx veteran and knows the tricks of the trade. Gill went on to get third in the race. See the highlights and results in our coverage of the event below.
