Reality TV star and internet personality Quadriyyah "Quad" Webb suffered an unimaginable loss over the weekend after her grandniece Aryanna "Ari" Rice drowned in a pool.

A representative for Webb, who is known for her starring role on Bravo's Married to Medicine: Atlanta and expected to return for its upcoming season 10, confirmed the 3-year-old's death in a statement first shared with TMZ reporters on Monday, July 24.

"Quad Webb and family have suffered the loss of two beloved family members, in separate occasions, in just one week," the rep began. "This has been an incredibly challenging experience for the entire family. Your understanding and support are deeply valued."

The official statement continued, "In this trying time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown by the public, fans and media. We kindly request much needed privacy during this period of mourning as Quad is taking time to grieve with her family."

According to a police report obtained by local news station WSB-TV Channel 2 Atlanta, Cobb County law enforcement responded to a call about a drowning in a backyard pool at the Marietta property where Webb resided.

The filing suggests that two men were using the pool earlier that evening before heading off inside to order pizza. When they returned outside, the unnamed men thought they saw a doll floating in the pool before they made the heartbreaking realization that it was a young child who was later identified as the daughter of Tamica Webb from Nashville–Quad's niece–who was visiting for a month-long vacation.

The two men immediately pulled the girl from the pool and called 911. As stated in the report, first responders were on the scene shortly thereafter to administer medical aid before transporting Rice to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Webb, who was married to Dr. Gregory Lunceford before she filed for divorce in 2018, has not commented on the child’s death. It currently remains unclear if the 42-year-old Bravo cast member was home at the time of the tragic incident.

Weeks ago, Webb shared a series of images gushing over the child. "Wow, I can’t believe my baby is 3 years old today!" she exclaimed in the caption. "I remember you falling to sleep laying on my chest. You absolutely stole my heart from the moment I saw you. Ari you’re so special to me and I’m grateful to be apart of your life! I got you forever!!! Happy birthday chocolate drop."

Previously, Webb clarified that while Rice was "not my adopted daughter," she played a key role in her life, telling BravoTV.com's The Daily Dish in June 2020 that she was part of the "village" helping to raise the child.

"My mom and I are in a supportive role for Ari, and while everyone is elated about the new addition to our family, she has a mother," she shared at the time. "We are the village here to support baby Ari."
