Mark Your Calendars: The Florida Keys’ First All-Inclusive Resort Officially Has a Reopening Date

When the Bungalows Key Largo first announced its grand opening in December, it did so to a ton of fanfare. As the Florida Keys’ first-ever adults-only all-inclusive (seriously!), it offered fans of all-you-can-everything vacays an opportunity to chow down on unlimited guac without the hassle of plane travel and passports.

But the celebratory cocktails were, unfortunately, short-lived. Just five months after opening their doors to the public, guests woke up to find the resort engulfed in flames. While no one was injured, the fire devasted the Bungalows’ Beach House, where the restaurants and public spaces are housed, and forced the untimely closing of the luxury getaway.

Fortunately, the resort vowed to rebuild quickly—and for those of you who missed out on a visit to this Florida Keys paradise the first time around, your winter plans are about to get a whole lot sunnier.

On their website and Facebook page, Bungalows Key Largo recently announced a reopening date in mid-December. And if you want to get your holiday vacay on the books quick, you can go ahead and reserve your spot now.

For those who need a reminder as to why this all-inclusive escape absolutely needs a spot on your vacation wish list, here’s a quick refresher: Spanning 12 acres of waterfront, the boutique stay is comprised exclusively of bungalows, each outfitted with alfresco soaking tubs and garden showers. (Swoon!) While the rooms are downright dreamy, the rest of the resort is a vision of relaxation. Two pools, two Jacuzzis, and countless beachfront cabanas are perfect alfresco lounge spaces; those who want to stay active can make use of beach cruisers (included with each bungalow), daily yoga classes, and snorkeling gear.

As for the unlimited nosh, three restaurants serve up everything from elegant seafood faves to Mexican-inspired poolside bites. Multiple tiki bars (including two that cruise on the water) have all your tropical drink requests covered.
