Looks like Hermione Lodge isn't ready to say goodbye to Riverdale just yet.

Marisol Nicholas announced on Access that she plans to stay to return to the show for season five. Previously, Marisol decided to leave the show along with co-star Skeet Ulrich at the end of season four.

"I had a very long talk with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, our creator and showrunner of Riverdale. And I’m proud to announce that not only will Hermoine be back for season five, but she will be back stronger and better than ever!" she said on Access. "So I’m really excited in telling her story and that side of her."

Fans were already hoping to see her in the beginning of season five, especially since last season was cut short due to COVID-19. As a result, the remaining episodes for season four will be shot and shown as a part of the fifth when it returns in 2021.

Skeet Ulrich is still expected to leave in season five, especially due to recent comments that he was "bored creatively" on the show.

While Marisol didn't go into details on how many episodes she will appear in season five or what fans can expect from Hermione now that she's staying, she did note that her new deal will allow her to take on more projects. She also plans to continue to work with law enforcement to end human trafficking, which she previously talked about with Marie Claire.

"[Child sex traffickers] are all disgusting," she revealed to Marie Claire. "I go after those guys because, to me, they are the most dangerous."
