Mariska Hargitay Stuns 'Law and Order: SVU' Fans With Jaw-Dropping Bra-Inspired Outfit

Mariska Hargitay might be known for stopping criminals in their tracks on Law and Order: SVU, but it was her bold outfit that had us stopping in ours.
On October 13, the NBC star wowed on the red carpet at Casa Cipriani for the Fashion Group International's 38th Night of Stars gala to honor her friend, designer Christian Siriano, to whom she presented the Fashion Star Award. The 58-year-old actress stood out in a cobalt blue suit, designed by Christian, with a plunging satin bustier top. She completed the outfit with dark blue heels, a nude lip and her classic curled hair.
When Law and Order: SVU fans saw her radiant look on Instagram, they didn't waste any time telling her what they thought.
"An epitome of cool sexiness 🔥🔥 A true serve👏🏼👏🏼," wrote one person. "You look more radiant than ever, and you OWNED that blue suit! 💙✨," another said. "Peter i need to marry your wife," someone else quipped, referencing her husband, fellow actor Peter Hermann.
When asked about her vibrant look, Mariska told Vanity Fair that one of Christian's talents is knowing how to gorgeously dress anyone. "Christian has made me. I have never felt more beautiful and confident," she told the outlet. "He looks at your body and he’s like, ‘I know what to do.’ His creativity knows no bounds."
She also applauded his efforts to make inclusive fashion for all sizes, something Christian has been praised for over the last few years. She told VF: "He’s redefining our notions of beauty and resetting the fashion industry. He’s allowing the impossible, and no one else has done what Christian has done."
The skin-showing look contrasts the more demure outfits Mariska wears as Captain Olivia Benson on the long-running drama, a role she has played since 1999. She recently returned for her 24th season and we love seeing her looks both on- and off the small screen.
