Just when Law and Order: SVU fans thought they were prepared for Kelli Giddish's upcoming departure, co-star Mariska Hargitay posted a photo of the two together that put them back in denial.

The two leading ladies, who play Rollins and Benson, have made it clear that they aren't just close co-workers on the longtime NBC show. But if more proof was needed, one of Mariska's latest Instagram showed fans a behind-the-scenes look at their friendship.

In the photo posted on October 19, the actresses eat homemade chocolate chip cookies in between filming, courtesy of their friend Ali Wentworth. But it wasn't the sweet treats that had fans in an uproar. Instead, it was the hashtags Mariska paired with the post, like #workwiveswednesday, #partnersincrime and #rollivia.

Reacting to the heartwarming snap and message, Law and Order: SVU fans immediately took to the comments section to gush about their bond.

"MY ROLIVIA AND KELLISKA HEART IS SO FULL [RIGHT NOW] (Rolivia should elope it’s not too late besties) 🍪," one person wrote on Instagram. “Work wives! My two faves. 😭 Y'all are so cute. I don't want these pics to stop. 😭😭😭,” added another. "Gorgeous girls!! 😍😍😍 I love you #kelliska ❤️❤️," a different fan said.

Unsurprisingly, viewers also didn't shy away from expressing their disappointment about Kelli's departure, which was announced back in August. A picture of the two together can't be found without comments lamenting about the loss of half of the powerful duo, dubbed "rollivia" by the show's fandom.

"I DON'T WANT THIS TO END," someone shared on the same post. "MY BEST GIRLS!!!! Don’t let her leave 😭😣," another pleaded. "I am so sad the show is breaking up this duo 😭,” a fan shared.

Although their characters Olivia and Amanda will say goodbye on the show come December, fans can at least take a little comfort in the fact that we'll most likely still see the pair together on social media — which, let's face it, is a pretty nice silver lining.
