Mariska Hargitay Rings in a New Decade With the 'Prettiest Cake'

Mariska Hargitay was really feeling the love on her birthday this year, celebrating her big day with a shower of "crazy love" from her friends and castmates.
The Law & Order: SVU star rang in a brand new decade when she turned 60 years old on Jan. 23, 2024, and she marked the occasion with all of the makings of a perfect birthday: cake, balloons, and well-wishes.
Hargitay took to Instagram the morning after the festivities, starting with a photo of her blowing out seven candles atop a beautifully frosted cake covered in floral decor. "Thank you for making my birthday wishes come true!✨✨✨✨," she wrote alongside the snap, calling out the "prettiest cake" we've ever seen.

She also shared two photos showing off her massive bouquet of balloons, which were shades of peach and pink that were perfectly matched to the flowers on her cake. "Day was filled with crazy love. Thank you friends♥️✨💕💝🎈," she wrote, thanking a friend for the "magic balloons" in a follow-up that showed the actress and another friend crammed into the back seat of a car practically drowning in balloons.
Friends and fans, of course, sent massive amounts of love her way, including the NYPD First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella, who called her "the heart and soul of Law & Order: SVU." "Your talent, compassion, and dedication to justice on & off-screen inspires us all," she added.
Fans further dubbed her "the sweetest soul," with one calling her "a gorgeous person inside and out," and it's hard to argue with that!
