Mariska Hargitay is the bearer of some really great news!

The Law & Order: SVU actress, 59, took to Instagram earlier today to share a health update following surgery she received after breaking her ankle nearly two years ago.

In a video shared with her 2.7 million followers, Hargitay appeared happy and in good spirits after finding out the great news.

"Hey guys, so I'm very, very excited. I wanted to post this. So what do I do when I go on hiatus? The first thing I do is I catch up on my doctor's appointment. So I just finished my follow-up for my trimalleolar fracture–that's a fancy word for breaking your ankle in three places," she said.

"I got a clean bill of health, and he told me to pretend like it never happened!" Hargitay said, referencing her doctor. "Thank you all for all your love and concern when it happened."

The post also included a selfie that the actress snapped with her doctor as the two smiled at the camera in his office. Additionally, Hargitay gave fans a glimpse at her ankle x-rays that showed where the damage was done, leading her to label herself a "bionic woman" in the caption.

Singer Orfeh also chimed in, writing, "GREAT UPDATE 😍👏," while Debra Messing wrote, "Congratulations!!!!"

"so when you say 'this has got me on pins and needles' you’re so serious now 🤣 happy you are fully healed now 🥹🫶🏾," one fan quipped.

Hargitay revealed that she broke her ankle last July when she shared a photo on Instagram of her ankle wrapped up in bandages and protected with a cast. "My summer look," she joked in the caption.

According to Page Six, the actress tripped on a rainy pavement when she was leaving a Cinema Society screening of Black Widow in the Hamptons. A source told the outlet that Hargitay "was taken to Southampton Hospital by ambulance with her husband Peter Hermann. She stayed there for several hours and ended up with a bandaged leg."

It's nice to hear that her broken ankle is long behind her!
