Now that's friendship!

Ice-T is the newest honoree to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (the 2,747th honoree, to be specific), but Law & Order: SVU costar Mariska Hargitay couldn't let the opportunity for a little inside information to slip go.

Hargitay, along with Dick Wolf and Chuck D, gave a speech during the beloved rapper's ceremony, which was streamed live yesterday, Feb. 17, it could not have been a more touching tribute to her friend.

She began by explaining the sentimental value the Walk of Fame holds for her. "I am just so beyond, beyond, beyond, thrilled to be here for my friend...I hold the Hollywood Walk of Fame so deeply and dearly in my heart for another reason. Because here I am and, forever will be, right next to my mother," she said, referring to the late Jayne Mansfield. "Our stars shine side-by-side, and that makes this place unspeakably sacred to me."

The actress then called Ice-T up to her side, reflecting her sentiments onto him. "I want to tell you that it is so profoundly right that your name is now here, forever commemorated in this place. Because there is something else that I hold sacred, and that is friendship. Your achievements and your artistry and your whole verbal judo, your whole story, runs so deep."

She commended his work as a rapper, actor and artist, affirming that he is "indeed the real O.G," before detailing his "humanity," "humility," "grace" and "wisdom" as just a few small parts of what has led him here today. "But to me, Ice, the reason that you're here and the reason that you have fame in my heart is because you are the O.G. of friendship."

But, as friends do, she had to inject at least a little ribbing before the heartfelt moment came to an end, pulling him even closer to her as she wrapped up with, "But most importantly, the reason I love you is because you let me call you nicknames-"

He cut her off, saying, "Oh, no, no, no," laughing as she ducked to lean her head on his shoulder.

"That no one else is allowed to call him!" she interjected again.

But as someone who holds friendship in high regard, Hargitay asked his permission before sharing the moniker, practically bursting at the seams when he laughed and gave her the go-ahead.

"He lets me call him Icey!" she shouted gleefully, knees practically buckling in excitement.

A clip of the interaction was uploaded to a TikTok fan page, where it quickly went viral.

"She’s been waiting to tell people that for 20 years lmao," one viewer wrote in response, while another added, "Her excitement is so precious 🥺😂 she’s like a little kid."

Others narrowed in on the rapper's reaction. "His giggle alone…ICEY 4 EVER," one wrote.

"This is so pure I love them so much 😂," said another.

It's no wonder the pair are so close; they're the two longest-standing cast members of SVU, having been working together for over two decades, now. Ice-T has already said that he'll remain on the series as long as Hargitay does. Now that's friendship!
