  • Maria Tomei, 57, has used the same affordable, gentle cleanser on her sensitive skin for years.

  • She swears by dermatologist (and customer!) favorite, Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser.

  • She also shares her skincare and beauty routine that’s incredibly easy to replicate.

Actress Marisa Tomei keeps her beauty routine simple for multiple reasons: She's always on the go (see her latest work in Spider-Man: No Way Home), she's admittedly "a bit lazy," per her new Beauty Secrets video for Vogue, and most importantly, she has very sensitive skin that appreciates the basics.

"I just do the minimum," she told Vogue. And that includes the bare-bones creamy face wash she's used "forever": Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser. The 57-year-old swears by it because her skincare "can't have things with chemicals," such as strong exfoliants. "My skin doesn't like it," she explained, adding that if she does use those types of products, her complexion turns red and breaks out.

Thankfully, Cetaphil has never steered her wrong, likely because it's made for skin just like hers. It has a low-suds formula that doesn't strip the skin of moisture, it's fragrance-free to avoid irritants, and it's non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog or disrupt pores. Dermatologists even recommend it to those who deal with eczema.

With 4.6 out of five stars on Amazon, it's clear that Tomei isn't the only one who loves it. "This is a GREAT product at an affordable price. It is good for anyone who has sensitive skin or who wants skin clarity," one reviewer writes. "I have a skin condition and it doesn’t agitate [it] at all, in fact it has really helped a lot in healing it and keeping it under control," another raves.

After Tomei does her morning cleanse, she follows up with the Liquid Green Oil serum from I-N Beauty and uses a European skin salve called Boiron Homeoplasmine as a lip balm. "Hydration is the main thing," she told Vogue. To moisturize her body, she slathers on Mutha's Body Butter and Lord Jones' Bump + Smooth CBD Body Serum.

Then it's on to beauty, which—you guessed it—is also as simple as it gets. A smidge of Clé de Peau concealer applied with her fingers plus a few wisps of Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara and she's out the door—but not without curling her lashes first. “If there’s one thing I can't leave the house without, it’s my Shiseido Eyelash Curler,” she said in the video. A five-second squeeze on each eye completes the look.

We certainly will be adding these to our cart, pronto!
