Beauty influencer Jasmine Chiswell, who goes by @jasminechiswell, demonstrated how to apply lipstick — using a lip-shaped makeup tool from nearly 80 years ago.

“How they applied lipstick in the 1940s!! Omggg this lipstick applicator is insane!!! I can’t believe it actually works!!” the retro makeup fan gushed online.

In a resurfaced 18-second clip posted on TikTok, Chiswell reviews “the Glamour Lips lipstick applicator” from the 1940s, which she purchased for $12.

“It was meant to apply your lipstick ‘perfectly,'” said the retro makeup maven.

Chiswell, 30, unveiled the applicator’s lengthy instruction pamphlet detailing the best method to apply lip paint.

“Completely cover the inside flat surface of your applicator with lipstick,” the manual read. “Smooth out the lipstick evenly with your finger or lipstick … Wipe surplus off [the] top edge.”

When using the metal tool, users would move the bottom handle from the chin to line up the top ends of the applicator with the corners of their mouths.

The booklet advised that lips should be dry and powdered before puckering up to layer on lipstick.

“Press your lips together, moving and rubbing the lower lip in and out against the upper lip as you would normally do. This will distribute the lipstick evenly on both lips,” the pamphlet explained.

Chiswell followed step by step — rubbing the lipstick on the applicator as instructed and placing the tool on her top and bottom lips — before revealing her red, plump lips.

In the clip, she appears surprised to see the tool work so efficiently, as the applicator lined up perfectly with Chiswell’s lips.

“I don’t put vintage makeup on my face — there’s often lead and harmful ingredients in there — but I’ll swatch it on my hand and take videos to share online,” she said in a PEOPLE magazine interview.

The Scotland native, who resides in California, often replicates old-school fashion and beauty looks from the early 1900s and Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe.

“I’ve always loved vintage fashion since I was little, but I didn’t want to get judged or stand out, so I always told myself maybe one day I’ll have the confidence to do so,” she told The Post in 2021.

Chiswell can be seen online experimenting with aged hair remover tools, vintage wedding dresses, 100-year-old foundationsmakeup brushes, lip gloss, eyeshadows and bras.

The Marilyn Monroe lookalike is committed to a vintage lifestyle; she even moved into the “Some Like It Hot” star’s Mediterranean-style home in the heart of Hollywood.

“My husband looked online and saw that the house was actually one of the ones where Marilyn lived and it was one of the open houses for sale,” she confessed to The Post in the 2021 interview. “We fell in love with it immediately.”
