Mariah Carey’s Twins Moroccan and Monroe Are Following in Her Footsteps in One Major Way: ‘I’m So Proud of Them’

Nobody works harder at Christmastime than Mariah Carey (except maybe Santa), and this year, she’s getting a little extra help from two very special elves: her 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe! The Queen of Christmas kicks off her Merry Christmas One and All tour on Nov. 15, and she revealed that her twins, who she shares with ex Nick Cannon, will be joining her.
“I’m proud of them… They just know so many things and they’re like on top of everything,” the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer told Entertainment Tonight. “They’re gonna be coming around the country with me and doing their thing, and I’m excited to watch them.”

Carey didn’t divulge which part of the show the twins will be in, but she did tease what this year’s tour will look like. “We start with the Sugar Plum Fairy and go all the way through many holiday hymns and the regular holiday songs, and then some of my songs that I haven’t done in a while,” she shared, adding that she will also sing some “other big hit songs.”

Moroccan and Monroe, who also appeared with their mom in the Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special and Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues, are going to spend the holidays in Aspen with their mom. “I’m spending [Christmas] with my kids and some friends and we’ll be in Aspen,” she told ET. “Santa’s coming over as well. You think I’m lying, but it’s true! That is my homie and so he’s gonna be coming over.” Um, how can we score an invitation to that?!

The twins have inherited the holiday spirit from their mom, and they’ve been helping the Grammy-winner promote “Mariah Season.” On Nov. 1, they danced in a video of Carey “thawing out” for the season, and promoted her new holiday merch wearing “It’s Time” shirts with their mom’s face.
They also wore holiday pajamas in a collaboration with The Children’s Place. Carey told InStyle, “The twins love to dress up as much as I do during the holidays, and I love that they experiment with fashion. The twins and I had the best time in our matching pajamas and coordinated holiday looks when we shot the campaign. We could truly feel the Christmas magic, and I know we all looked and felt amazing in the outfits.”
