Mariah Carey Introduces Two 'New Adopted Family Members' in Cheerful Photo

Mariah Carey is trying her best to soak up what's left of summer, but as the seasons change, she's embracing the new with two furry additions to the family!
Over the weekend, the singer shared photos on Instagram showcasing some time spent with her kids as they prepare to welcome fall, writing, "Summer prolonged... even though I try, I can't let go! ☀️Introducing #DemKittens, the new adopted family members: Nacho & Rocky Jr. 🐈🐈."
The first photo reveals Nacho and Rocky Jr., with Carey's twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 12, each holding one of the kittens as they pose with their mother and smile for the camera.
While it's not confirmed, it appears that Carey, 54, adopted the two kittens, as the official account for Best Friends Animal Society commented on her Sept. 17 upload, "Thank you for adopting, Mariah!🧡 - Kasey." PETA also commented to explain the benefits of adopting.
The next photo in Carey's update shows the star making pizza with her daughter in their kitchen, while the final snap features Carey and Monroe swimming in the pool and having a great time.
Carey slipped in some of her lyrics in the post's caption, with "Even though I try, I can't let go," coming from the track "Can't Let Go" from her 1991 album Emotions. A loyal fan noticed this, writing, "I love how you still quote your classic songs and are proud of them 😍."
"When you can quote your own song in your caption.. epic! 🙌 Also, congrats on the new additions! 🐈🐈," wrote another.
Many fans appreciated seeing Carey's down-to-earth home life, as a follower commented, "So beautiful to see a megastar do normal things showing everyone [she's] a relatable queen," with the comment getting many likes.
"The kids look so freakin happy!!! We love a great mom ❤️," declared another of Carey's fans.
Carey often shares moments of her personal life with fans on social media, and now she has two new family members to add to the fun!
