Mariah Carey knows that she writes the most epic songs of all time, so she went ahead and dropped a new video on Instagram that shows her performing, “Touch My Body,” the way she thinks it ought to be done.

In the video, the 54-year-old singer can be seen getting her hair and makeup done as she lip syncs to her hit. She’s working a strappy jean bra top paired with unbuttoned low-cut jeans that show off her strong abs. Naturally, she’s giving the camera her all. As Mariah sings her song, her kids and team dance in and out of frame, and it’s a total mood.

“Why not? Jumping on the trend of my own song lol #touchmybody,” she wrote in the caption. People were all about it in the comments. “One thing about Mariah is she still look the same since her debut album,” one person wrote. “SERVING FACE, HAIR, BODY, AND ALL OF THE ABOVE!!! GET EM MIMI😍😍😍,” another said.

She also tries to fit in a daily session of swimming and water aerobics. And she takes that workout time seriously. Case in point: Mariah previously told People that she’s actually flown someone in from St. Barts to be her instructor in the pool.

On the food front, Mariah has shared with E! News in the past that she has a lean protein-heavy diet, and salmon is her go-to. She also cuts out processed sugar sometimes, per Hollywood Life. "She is also working out regularly and eating clean, whole foods with a focus on vegetables," a source told the outlet back in 2018.

And while Mariah hasn't spoken about her current diet in 2023, it's possible she's sticking to some of the basic healthy, whole-ingredient principals she followed back then.
