Update: 11/18/20:

The ultimate holiday collaboration is now definitely on the way.

Per an official press release, Mariah Carey will rerelease her holiday hit "Oh Santa!" with the help of two fellow divas: Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande. The new track and its corresponding music video are set to be released on December 4, the same day Carey's festive production, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special, will hit Apple TV+.

Carey shared the official artwork for the upcoming special today on Instagram. Clad in a red sequin, high-slit number, the pop star can be seen posing within an adorned Christmas wreath.

"Let's get festive!!! 🎄12/4 @appletv," she wrote.

Few pop stars have what it takes to be able to share the stage with singer, songwriter, and bonafide superstar Mariah Carey, but on Friday the "We Belong Together" singer teased that two fellow musicians just might have her musical stamp of approval.

Carey took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of what might be a behind-the-scenes look at her upcoming AppleTV+ Christmas special, confirmed to hit our television screens later this year. In the photo, there are three director chairs printed with the initials "AG," "MC," and "JH," leading fans to believe that fellow pop stars Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson could be a part of Carey's upcoming holiday extravaganza. Carey captioned the social media snap with a simple Christmas tree emoji, referencing her favorite holiday season.

News of Mariah Carey's upcoming production, aptly titled Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special, was confirmed back in August, ahead of the release of her New York Times bestselling memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey. The "innovative special" is set to include music, dancing, and animation "driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together," reported Billboard. Carey has become synonymous with the holiday since the 1994 release of her hit single "All I Want For Christmas Is You," which has gone on to become a history-making record and the singer's 19th number one hit.

Though Carey has yet to confirm the identity of her two mystery collaborators, loyal fans quickly took to Twitter to express their disbelief and excitement that a project between Carey, Grande, and Hudson could very well be on the way.

We've rounded up the best responses to Carey's teaser below.
