Mariah Carey's Made a Lot of Money on Xmas Music
Did you wake up this Christmas morning and think "Hey, I wonder how much money Mariah Carey's made off her 1994 smash hit 'All I Want for Christmas Is You?'" Good news! A new-ish study from The Economist is here to tell you Mariah Carey has made more than $60 million on royalties from that song alone.
The study also says the song is the most streamed of Spotify's 13 most popular Christmas songs, coming in at about 210 million streams as of the end of November. It's unclear how many more times it's been streamed through today.
