Ladies and gentlemen, Barbie has left the building.

Margot Robbie is, and forever will be, Barbie in our book — at the very least, until award season is over. But on Saturday night, she took a brief break from character and ditched her hot pink wardrobe in favor of a look that went to the other sartorial extreme.

Stepping out for a rare date night with her husband Tom Ackerley, Margot attended two pre-BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards parties in London while wearing an outfit that gave major vampy vibes. First, the couple walked the red carpet at the Charles Finch & Chanel bash at 5 Hertford Street, and for the occasion, the actress slipped on a sparkly black minidress that was strapless and covered in sequins. She accessorized with a quilted black Chanel handbag and black peep-toe mules, while her glam consisted of a statement red lip and long mermaid waves with a sleek middle part.

Ackerley, for his part, matched his wife in a black pinstripe suit with a beige dress shirt and shiny black lug-soled shoes.

Later that evening, the couple made an appearance at Bulgaria's BAFTA 2024 Nominees' Party at the National Gallery wearing the same looks as before — however, Margot added an extra layer of edge with a black leather croc-embossed jacket that hit right below the knee.

At this year's ceremony, which celebrates excellence in film and television across the United Kingdom, Margot is up for the award of Best Leading Actress for her role in Greta Gerwig's Barbie. Meanwhile, the blockbuster film itself is nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design.
